Electronic Stability System - 'amulet' for drivers

Number of people killed in the U.S. may be reduced one third if all vehicles are equipped with electronic balancing system (ESC).

ESC helps reduce 35% of the collision. The risk of fatal SUV is equipped with electronic weighing systems less than 67% of cases there is no car.

Nicole Nason, head of NHTSA, ESC is rated one of the safety system of the most progressive. Program evaluation of safety features on vehicles in Europe (Euro NCAP) put a strong message advises people to buy cars are equipped balance control system.

Electronic balancing system helps the driver stabilize the motion of folding. Signals from the longitudinal acceleration sensor, the horizontal acceleration of the vehicle, the speed sensor wheel ... is collected to determine the actual state of motion.

The computer compares the results with the steering wheel angle from which the brake control command, or reducing engine power, fast car is taken according to the desired state of the driver.

Electronic balancing system incorporated with the antilock brake system allows ABS-ESC brake each wheel independently separately. Any vehicles which are equipped with more power from the brake system are equipped with ABS, but a car with ABS is unlikely to have ESC.
